Viewing life through the cross means caring about the community where we’re located, and using our resources transform it. This is where the Great Commandment ends (love your neighbor) and the Great Commission begins (go into…Jerusalem)! The primary way we live this out is through CrossServe.
We challenge Denison Nazarenes to give three hours a month in compassionate service. These three hours are guided by three principles:
- Community focused – serve where you live.
- Volunteer focused – offer your time for free.
- Relationship focused – serve in ways that connect with people, rather than projects.
There are countless ways to practice CrossServe. You can volunteer at a local school or nursing home, become involved in a soup kitchen or food pantry, join an existing organization, or start your own.
