Announcements

This Week’s Fitness Tip—park and walk.  Walking has so many health benefits.  You’d be surprised how many extra steps you can get in simply by parking a little further away from the front of the store, church, or post office.  Give it a try this week.  As usual, consult your doctor if you have concerns.

Memorial Roll Certificates will be presented in this morning’s service.  All money given to place our friends on the memorial roll goes to the missionary health care fund.

Announcements

This Week’s Fitness Tip—there’s no “free” lunch!  Just because a label says “fat free”, “sugar free”, “caffeine free”, or “gluten free” doesn’t mean it’s healthy.  Read labels this week, especial checking sodium content.   The best “free” foods are raw fruits and vegetables, lean meats, natural oils, and unsalted nuts.

Graduates—We will be honoring all graduates in the morning service today.  Congratulations, Class of 2014!

Memorial Roll Certificates will be presented next Sunday to the families of Michael Jackson, Clover Kimberling, and Warren Pennington.

Happy Birthday!  Gayle Guthrie (5/20), Dale Kennington (5/20), Destiny Collins (5/21)

 ANNOUNCEMENTS

This Week’s Fitness Tip—stretching.  Before exercise, make sure your body is ready by stretching and warming up.  Don’t overstretch, which can damage muscles and joints, but go a little beyond what’s comfortable.  Then, warm up by doing your exercise of choice at a slower pace for the first couple of minutes.  You are then ready to work up a sweat!

Mother’s Day is today.  All mothers and daughters will receive a special gift at the conclusion of the service.

Graduates—We will be honoring all graduates on Sunday, May 18th in the morning service.  Please let Lenore Flowers know today if you are graduating.

Happy Birthday!  Austin Ingram (5/11), Bill Kimberling (5/16)
